We offer a beautiful range of soft furnishing fabrics and sheers across our range. You can use the "Filters" option located on the left of your screen when looking at any of our collections. When it comes to curtains we have a vast array of linens, sheer voiles, velvet and chenille as well as silk.
With the exception of sheers and self-lined fabrics, we offer the option of three different types of linings for you to choose from when have your curtains or roman blinds made: Light Filtering, Thermal and Blockout. The type of lining can be selected
Light Filtering Lining
Our light filtering lining comes as standard, and is a single fabric layer that helps to filter out harsh glare, allowing a drop of light to gently wash over your home while protecting your furniture from UV rays. This lining is perfect for providing privacy while filtering natural light. It ensures your home stays perfectly shaded without losing too much light. The composition of this lining is 70% polyester, 30% cotton.
Thermal Interlining
Our thermal interlining option is made from the same fabric as the Light Filtering lining, but includes an additional soft wadding layer bonded to the fabric. This creates extra insulation, offering year-round comfort while still allowing light filtration and maintaining privacy. It reflects the heat perfectly to keep you cool in the summer heat and warm when the temperature drops. It might also save you a little money on your bills, allowing you to turn down the AC and relax, safe in the knowledge that your curtain or blind is doing all the hard work of regulating your home's temperature. Thermal interlining is 100% polyester.
Blockout Lining
Our blockout lining is a three-pass lining that is made up of two fine, suede-like fabric layers with a 100% blockout coating sandwiched in between. This ensure complete light blockage and privacy, meaning that it is an ideal choice for bedrooms and rooms that you would want complete privacy. It offers great protection from the sun, and an even better night's sleep. Blockout linings are also great for north facing windows or rooms that get a lot of light, allowing you to create a shaded haven inside your home. Blockout lining is 100% polyester.
How is a lining attached to curtains and what are the benefits?
Our curtain linings are securely attached along the sides and top, while the bottom hem remains separate. This design creates a small air pocket between the curtain fabric and the lining, enhancing insulation.
The benefits of a lined curtain include:
- Improved temperature control – Helps retain warmth in winter and blocks heat in summer, making your home more energy-efficient.
- Noise reduction – The additional fabric layer absorbs sound, creating a quieter environment.
- Fabric protection – Shields the curtain fabric from sunlight, ensuring it stands up to the test of time.
- A premium finish – Adds fullness and structure for a more luxurious look.
Whether you’re looking for better insulation, increased privacy, or a stylish finish, a lined curtain is a practical and elegant choice.
