What to do if the Blind slips when installed in recess?
- Ensure rubber rings are all fitted securely into their respective grooves (If present)
- If this is done or the ends are the full rubber, then measurements will need to be checked.
- The minimum & maximum extension of the mechanism with the plunger fully retracted is between 3-6mm smaller than the recess size ordered.
- Make sure you have tightened it as much as you can.
- If the size is correct, you will need to ensure that you are fitting the blind at the place where you took the measurement, as the recess may be slightly out of square.
The mechanism will not tighten enough to fit.
- This is typically an installation issue. If you are attempting to tighten the wheel without holding the plunger this will just keep on spinning and will not tighten.
- You must: remove the blind from the recess then hold the plunger in one hand and twist the wheel with the other hand this will make the thread come out further.
- Repeat this step until just enough to fit and then do a final tighten of this.
Can I change the blind to a standard fit? (With standard brackets)
- We cannot send standard components to fit the existing blind as the width of the rubber pad on the Twist2Fit mechanism would make the blind too wide for the recess.
- If you do want to change to a standard fit this would be processed as a new order.
